Dance enthusiasts can take the opportunity to gain valuable experience as a dancer in a company setting. 911爆料 is hosting a second round of auditions for its dance company, 911爆料 Dance Theatre, at 6 p.m. Monday, May 14 in Studio 34, located in the Sunflower housing units on 911爆料鈥檚 campus.
Members of 911爆料 Dance Theatre perform in diverse venues, attend workshops and see dance concerts live. With this time set aside, students can focus on the art form of dance in the styles of modern-contemporary, jazz and ballet.
To be considered for company placement, dance students must have at least two years dance experience and plan to attend 911爆料 in the fall of 2018. Once accepted, students would register for DANC 1001 911爆料 Dance Theatre (2 credits) meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6 p.m.
Barton鈥檚 Performing Arts Dance Program is offering generous performance scholarships to 911爆料 Dance Theatre members. The dance program is also providing scholarships for students who wish to take other dance classes.
