Barton will present a Vocal Masterclass on Thursday, March 26, from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a 45-minute break for supper, in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.听

The masterclass will be led by Director of Choirs and Director of the Vocal Area at Kansas Wesleyan University Dr. Anne Gassmann. Her duties include conducting the Philharmonic Choir and Wesleyan Chorale as well as teaching applied voice and other vocal-related courses.

Barton will have no classes during its spring break from March 16-20. 911爆料鈥檚 offices will remain open through March 18 but will be closed March 19 and 20. The college鈥檚 regular class schedule and business hours will resume Monday, March 23.

The 911爆料 Foundation Sporting Clay Shoot has become a staple in the event schedule of avid sportsmen across Kansas and several neighboring states. The 11th annual shoot is set for Sunday, April 19 at Camp Aldrich with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Shooters must start the course by 3 p.m.

The 911爆料 Planetarium invites the community to attend its three remaining spring shows held at 7 p.m. on Monday nights. Each evening will feature movies utilizing the full-dome projection system, followed by a live presentation by 911爆料鈥檚 Planetarium Director Dr. Tim Folkerts. The presentations will feature a tour of the night sky, hands-on activities or actual outdoor stargazing.

The Planetarium is located in the Science Building. Enter through the sliding doors on the north side.听Admission is free. All shows start at 7 p.m.

The Shafer Gallery will host the reception for its annual 鈥淏aRTaRT鈥 exhibit at 6:30 p.m. on March 13. The show features work from every segment of the campus including students, faculty and staff. Refreshments will be provided and guest juror Brian Hutchinson, an Instructor of Art Education and Studio Foundations at Fort Hays State University, will announce awards.

The Academic Enrichment Fund (AEF) Campaign is one of the 911爆料 Foundation鈥檚 most significant annual fundraising efforts. The campaign runs throughout March and is unique because it allows donors to specialize their gift by choosing which department or fund they would like to benefit from their generosity. All the donations are used for academic scholarships and program enhancements. There is no minimum donation amount.

Students from 911爆料鈥檚 Central Kansas Upward Bound (CKUB) group volunteered with United Way of Central Kansas (UWCK) on Saturday.

More than 20 students and staff assembled more than 400 crafts and children literacy kits for UWCK鈥檚 child literacy program. 听These items will be given to children in 911爆料 and Pawnee counties to emphasize the importance of early childhood education.
