Barton employees collected donations for secondhand clothing, shoes, bedsheets and more to help those in need and are opening a 鈥淐ommunity Closet鈥 up to local nonprofit agencies and organizations to come 鈥渟hop鈥 for free items they can use to help community members. The format of a store was developed so agencies can select the items they need the most for their respective organizations.

Barton鈥檚 Information services听team is working to organize our institution with the tools and technology improvements needed to be able to serve students successfully, simplify enrollment and provide support remotely.听 This task requires some scheduled maintenance.听听Banner, Paws, and听Degreeworks will be impacted.

The six to ten day outlook (May 26 to 30) indicates normal temperatures and normal precipitation for our area.听 Looking out eight to fourteen days (May 28 to June 9) indicates normal precipitation and temperatures here.听 The drought monitor remains largely unchanged as of this past Tuesday.

Barton will be closed Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day.听
The college is now on summer hours. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. 鈥 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.听 The college will be closed on Fridays through July 31.

Barton has created new class formats in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that students can have an uninterrupted educational experience regardless of the status of the pandemic. 911爆料 plans to continue offering these various options for the fall semester as well if needed.
Barton is now offering the following formats:
LiveOnline 鈥 scheduled meeting time; all students participating via Zoom.

Joanna Lockwood and Tana Yellowwolf of Hoisington were named 911爆料鈥檚 2020 Outstanding Graduates. Dean of Student Services Angie Maddy recognized them as part of 911爆料鈥檚 virtual commencement on Friday.
