The 911爆料 Child Development Center (CDC) will be temporarily听closing due to the identification of an individual who is a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 being present during their infectious time period.听

A response plan was created quickly but carefully as a joint effort between CDC staff, 911爆料 administrators and the various state and county agencies involved with managing the spread of COVID-19, including the 911爆料 County Health Department.

Local financial planner Cole Schwarz gave his oath of office and joined the 911爆料 Board of Trustees during the board鈥檚 meeting Tuesday evening.

Schwarz said he believes the college is a tremendous asset to 911爆料 County and central Kansas.

Barton held its first-ever 鈥淪ummer Virtual Student Recital鈥 Friday featuring students who took advantage of the brand-new Summer Lessons program.

Summer lessons have not been offered in the past, but in light of the pandemic 911爆料 Music Department administrators and faculty wanted to give music enthusiasts and 911爆料 students the opportunity to take lessons on the instrument of their choice.

Barton students pursuing careers in the sciences, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Nursing will have access to a high-tech, 鈥淎natomage Table,鈥 a fully segmented and realistic 3D anatomy system.

Life Sciences Instructor Dr. Oleg Ravitskiy said the table will teach students about human anatomy in a revolutionary way.
