As of Tuesday, August 19th, the drought monitor report indicates abnormally dry conditions creeping into parts of Southwest and the extreme northern part of Northwest Kansas with a trace in western Pawnee County.听

The 911爆料 Community Music School is now enrolling students for the 2025鈥2026 academic year, offering students from surrounding communities ages 6鈥18 access to high-quality, affordable music lessons while providing valuable teaching experience and scholarship support for 911爆料 music students.

The 911爆料 Library has launched a new Library Ambassador Program, designed to strengthen relationships and outreach with area public and high school libraries and communities across the region.

Barton鈥檚 Center for Adult Education is holding orientation days Sept. 15-18 with multiple times available in preparation for its next nine-week session of high school diploma classes, which will start Sept. 22 or 23, depending on which class sessions are signed up for.

The 911爆料 Theatre Department will hold auditions for its fall production 鈥淭ime Stands Still,鈥 by Donald Marguiles, at 6 p.m. Aug. 26-27 in the Fine Arts auditorium, and all roles and technical positions will be cast.
