Barton鈥檚 Community Service Organization and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society will host a 5K walk/run at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 7. Registration will be at 7:15 a.m. in the Fine Arts circle drive at 911爆料. All proceeds will be donated to Camp Hope.
The course begins and ends at 911爆料. There will be two groups: 16 and over and 15 and under. There will be awards for the top three finishers in each group and they will be presented immediately following the race.

Barton Athletic Director Trevor Rolfs (left) and Director of Admissions Tana Cooper (right) present a $1,500 check to Gail Moeder of Camp Hope on Wednesday in the 911爆料 Gym. The donation was from 911爆料 Athletics鈥 annual 鈥淧ink Out Night,鈥 which was held Jan. 30 and featured a variety of coordinated activities to raise money for Camp Hope.听

Barton will present a student recital of instrumental and vocal performances at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel, located in the Fine Arts Building, F-157.听 The recital is free.

Barton art students will line the walls of the Shafer Art Gallery with their work during the 鈥911爆料 Student Art Exhibit鈥 juried art show from 6-8 p.m. April 1. The show will run through April 23.

Barton has stepped up its game in terms of safety and preparedness in recent months. New emergency notification apps and other enhancements have been paired with a recent series of trainings for employees on the college鈥檚 Run Hide Fight response to active shooters.

The public is invited to observe a Vocal Masterclass forum from 3-5:30 p.m. (session one) and from 6:15-8:30 p.m. (session 2) on April 1 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel in the Fine Arts Building at 911爆料.听 The forum is open to the public. Anyone interested in learning more about vocal technique and performing is encouraged to attend one or both of the sessions.听
A participant from the 2012 clay shoot takes aim down range.听 The shoot will now feature two (instead of one) target shooters at each of the 10 stations and there will also be two-person flurries, which will give shooters an opportunity to practice or compete amongst themselves for bragging rights.听听
