All ages can get a dose of the holiday spirit at The Shafer Art Gallery鈥檚 鈥淗oliday Open House鈥 reception from 1-4 p.m.听 Sunday, Dec. 6, which will feature a free puppet show from Kansas City鈥檚 Clement McCrae Puppet Shows at 1:30 and 3 p.m. Admission is free.听

The aim of the publication is to provide a venue for local authors to showcase their creative writing talents.

Barton in conjunction with the National Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (PETE) will begin offering a 10-day Hazardous Waste Worker Training Program at military installations across the country. The course is geared toward transitioning soldiers, retirees and family members at no cost.

The 911爆料 Theatre Department will present 鈥淭he Santaland Diaries,鈥 starring 911爆料 Theatre and Kansas State University Theatre alumnus, Great Bend resident Grady Bolding at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Donations will be taken at the door and will go toward new equipment and materials for the theatre program. The play was adapted for the stage by Joe Mantello.
